2015 Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival

Man oh man, still reeling from the incredible performances at last weekends 2015 Crescent City Blues and BBQ Festival, especially the "Ride Your Pony Down to New Orleans - Home of the Blues" starring The Funky Meters (Art Neville, George Porter, Brian Stoltz and Terrence Houston) plus special guests Allen Toussaint and Irma Thomas. That “Dream “ lineup speaks for itself.......just a straight up amazing show evidenced by the overflowing Lafayette Square filled with smiling faces swingin hips and lots more......Personally I started the weekend off Friday night with Marcia Ball and Walter Wolfman Washington, then Saturday headed back to the fest with my man Rueben, caught Mason Ruffner, my good friend, the incomparable Little Freddie King, Lurrie Bell, Kenny Neal....as some I am sure that slip my mind.....Nothing like hangin out with a bunch of good friends on an occasion such as this.....Had so much fun Friday and Saturday that I succumbed to a cold that had been nagging me all week, so Sunday was a wash.....not before a late Saturday night with the Drive By Truckers at The Joy(Pix to Come). Massive props to Scott Aiges, the Jazz and Heritage Foundation and crew for putting on a stellar CCBF!!! Enjoy the Pix!!
