Went to the Freret Street Festival late yesterday afternoon,what a beautiful day for a festival. Let me tell ya, theres not much that I enjoy musically than checkin out my good friend John Mooney solo, just pickin apart the crowd with an arsenal of guitars reminiscent of the old Madigans “Church” shows every Sunday. John has been and is on fire these days, don't miss him play if you have the opportunity....Afterwards I headed down the street to check out the Wild Magnolias set chillin with Monk. Another great set with Big Chief Bo Dolis chiming in from stage left. Monk joined the band to close out the set with another stirring version of “Shotgun Joe”.......Indeed, festival season is upon us.....Enjoy the pics!
