And then the rains came....again. Uncle Lionel's Celebration of Life at Mahalia Jackson Theatre last Friday was a real thing of beauty, but the day was left incomplete due to the torrential downpours, floods, etc.....Apparently Unc wasn't quite ready......But that didn't stop Mayor Landrieu and a mass of people exiting the theatre into an epic deluge...Today, we will send Unc off with a Jazz Funeral procession starting at Charbonnet-Candlelight Lounge at 11am.....Enjoy the pics and see ya'll out there....more and a musical slideshow at http://www.nativeorleanian.org/july_20_second_line_uncle_lionel_batiste
