Leo Nocentelli's "Meters Experience" and Iko Allstars at Tipitinas Uptown

After a night with Papa Grows Funk, Glen David Andrews and Big Chief Monk Boudreaux last Friday, I closed the weekend Saturday night at Tipitinas with and incredible show featuring Leo Nocentelli's “The Meters Experience” with Bill “The Buddah” Dickens on bass(he was killin it all night), Jamal Batiste, and CR Gruver. Opening up was the Iko Allstars with Billy Iuso, CR Gruver, Mean Willie Green and more playin a series of killer Grateful Dead tunes....they had the joint rockin when I arrived about halfway through the set. Leo's 2 set show was stellar as usual. I always know I had a great time when I wake up the next day hearing Leo's guitar riffs bouncing around in my head till early evening. Enjoy the Pics!! Jerry ;-)
