NOBD at the Blue Nile

Back on September 8th I was able to go check out N.O.B.D., The New Orleans Bass and Drum Experience, down at the Blue Nile before heading down to Tipitinas for Galactic. The band consists of Johnny Vidacovich and Allyn Robinson on drums and Carl Dufrene and Charlie Wooten on Bass.......I could only stay for a part of the first set but got a taste of the possibilities and where where this could go in the future. It was their first gig tantamount to a classic New Orleans gumbo where the ingredients(musicians) were plucked from different bands to create yet another uniquely flavored dish to serve.
