New Years Eve in New Orleans with the Treme Brass Band, Dr. John, and The Funky Meters

Here are some pics from the Funky Meters New Years Eve show at Tipitinas in the French Quarter last night, made it by there after starting out at dba with the Treme Brass Band and Dr. John at the House of Blues. A great way to start 2012 as Tips Fq was nicely primed as the Meters were well into a seriously funkified set. Dr. John show at the House of Blues was off the hook as usual, and not so packed which was a welcomed surprise.....surely not cause of Mac, but the tickets were above normal pricing, but there was an open bar.....fine with me as we were able to enjoy a classic and intimate Dr. John show on New Years Eve, dat's what I'm talk'n about!!
