Finally had time to finish “The Essential Shag Fest 2011” held on August 2nd at the the Blue Nile....a great night with some of the best in New Orleans on stage together. Literally was blown away by a West Bank Mike epic jam, always great seein Joe Lawlor and the countless others musicians in attendance. That night I saw Colin Lake for the first time, the dude is a bad ass....really enjoyed his show at Tips last night and especially enjoyed him in Big Chief Monk Boudreaux's powerhouse band at the CD release party which followed ......Will have pics from that show later this week.
