First Mardi Gras , then Super Sunday, and finally St. Josephs Night last Tuesday where the Mardi Gras Indian Gangs historically come out under the cover of darkness “to do battle”.......This night has always been my favorite night of the year, there's just somethin in the air thats different and mystical........it's the unbelievably pretty magical colors flashing throughout the streets paired aurally with numerous drum beats emanating from the multitudes of gangs moving through the streets.........truly an amazing time.......There's a great interview by Maureen McMurray detailing the history of St. Joseph's Night which is well worth a listen,
