Last Saturday night at Tips was a concrete example of how we take care of our own......Most all of the heaviest hitters who weren't gig'n elsewhere in the New Orleans music scene descended upon Tipitinas last night for the a benefit for Theryl “The Housman” de Clouet. The Revivalist's kicked the evening off with a vengeancee, followed by The Dirty Dozen Brass Band, as Theryl put it, The Anders Osborne “Quartet”, John Gros, JasonMingledorff, and June Yamagishi of Papa Grows Funk, Trumpet Black, Trombone Shorty, Papa Mali and more....all backed by what amounted to the house band Galactic......and all kicked off with a scortching set by the Revivalists.....can't ask for much more than that....good times for a great cause.....enjoy the pics, Jerry ;-) ©2005-2013 Jerry Moran Native Orleanian LLC
