Last month I had the pleasure of going to shoot the Original Tuxedo Brass Band, Gerald French- drums, Larry Sieberth-piano, Richard Moten- bass, Andrew Baham- trumpet, Lucien Barbarin-trombone, Yolanda Windsay- vocalist, over at Irvin Mayfield's Playhouse in the Royal Sonesta where they play every Monday evening. Author Sally Newhart has written a new book entitled “The Original Tuxedo Brass Band ~ More Than a Century of a New Orleans Icon”. A couple of these images will appear in the book which is scheduled to launch along with Gerald French's new CD on Monday, March 18 at the Royal Sonesta on one of the Tuxedo Jazz Bands regular 8pm gigs, along with another book signing at the Garden District Book store on March 26 at 5:30-7 pm..
