Voice of the Wetlands Festival 2012

There's just no better way to end a “festival” weekend than heading down to Houma for the closing of the Voice of the Wetlands Festival with the VOW Allstars jammin late into the evening, this year joined onstage by the one and only Elvin Bishop and Mickey Thomas (Jefferson Starship) to wish Cyril Neville a Happy Bday and and jam with the Allstars the rest of the show, incredible show!! I arrived in time to also catch the Original Wild Magnolias with Big Chief Monk Boudreaux and Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band. A righteous evening of music indeed! Thanks to Rueben Williams et al for putting together another stellar fest with the most attendance ever, can't wait till the 10th Anniversary next year!
