anders_osborne_hiro_ballrom_jm_nofp_082511_001Good times last week hangin with all of the VOW Allstars on the east coast, starting with an earthquake and ending with a hurricane was quite interesting to say the least.... Great people and venues from the Birchmere Music Hall in VA, Fairfield Theatre in CONN, and finally the Hiro Ballroom in NY, and especially seeing old and new friends abound. Fantastic shows at ALL venues.....

There are certain shows that I do not miss under any, well almost any, circumstances. johnny_vidacovich_trio_tab_benoit_gpjr_maple_leaf_jm_nofp_111413_002There are certain shows that I do not miss under any, well almost any, circumstances. One of them is at the Maple Leaf Bar when Tab Benoit joins The Johnny Vidacovich Trio with George Porter Jr.. Maybe it's me but something real special always happens when these guys get together......Probably something to do with the organic nature of the shows.....Last night, as always was an enjoyable show with three of the heaviest of the heavy weights of our rich musical culture.
