Last week I headed out to the Studio in the Country where Cyril Neville is recording his upcoming Ruf Records release “Magic Honey”. This will be the third Cyril CD I have done the photography work on, the first being Brand New Blues which was a memorable shoot. David Z will be producing the cd with the likes of Carlos Santana, Walter Trout, Mike Zito, Cranston Clements, Allen Toussaint and more are some of the contributors to what will surely be an incredible release from the “Uptown Ruler”. Always great to see Ben Mumphrey and “Angie” over at Studio in the Country as I hadn't been there since documenting the recording of Anders Osborne's “American Patchwork” back in I think 09'. Also great to see, in person, client and friend Thomas Ruf of Ruf Records, I just don't get over to Germany that much. Enjoy the pics and be on the lookout for Cyril's new CD, release TBD.
