Here some pics from the Save Shell Benefit at the Howlin Wolf last night. A great benefit for a great cause, seasoned with the best of New Orleans Music including the Treme Brass Band, Dana Abbott Band, Hot 8 Brass Band, The Wild Magnolias with Big Chief Monk Boudreaux, The Christian Winter Quartet and the resurgent Tommy Malone backed by among others Johnny Vidacovich and Johnny Sansone, a real treat! Kermit Ruffins was the master of ceremonies, relieved halfway thru by Glen David Andrews, and the Whistle Monsta was in the house too...WHO DAT!! As always had a great time visiting with friends and chatting with GDA throughout the night. I'll see you Monday at dba Glen, 4sho! Stayed around pretty much of the evening, regrettably missed Glen David Andrews close out, the only neg of the evening was splitting a tooth on a char broiled oyster, OUCH! All in all it was a great night for Shell Beach, and thanks to Trent Robinson for spearheading the event. More images and a musical slideshow can be seen at at
