Just another Tuesday night in the neighborhood......well this one was a little different. The last 4 weeks or so at Snug Harbor on Tuesday's, The Stanton Moore Trio has been in residence featuring David Torkanowsky and James Singleton......need I say more......I haven't been able to make it to the shows this month but made sure I could be there last night for the early show, which was packed upstairs and downstairs.....not surprising with these three on stage together, and am still amazed this a.m. as I was last night at the sounds that Jim Singleton coaxed out of his stand up bass throughout the evening.....David Torkanowsky was masterful as usual on the piano and well Stanton....he was Stanton.....quite a treat indeed.....afterwards we headed about 50 ft down Frenchmen St. to d.b.a.
