Nine Lives shoot at Piety StreetI received a call from Chris Joseph of Threadhead Records Wednesday morning asking if I had time to go over to Piety Street Studios to document a day of recording for the “Nine Lives” Musical written by Paul Sanchez and Coleman deKay. Once Chris started reeling out the names of the performers, including Allen Toussaint, Wendell Pierce, John Boutte, Mayor Mitch Landrieu, and so on…my only response was, “I’ll be there in a half hr or so” as I live 3 blocks from the studio. That was definetely a day I will not forget anytime soon, as one of my favorite things to shoot is the creative process in the studio. Here are some of the pics, you can read more about the “Nine Lives” projest at http://ninelivesmusical.wordpress.com/2010/12/22/pics-from-the-studio-1219-1225/ Merry Christmas and Happy Holiday’s to all!
