Royal Southern Brotherhood perform the Rolling Stones Classic LP Exile on Main Street
Just ran across another Jazz Fest night shoot that I honestly didn't recall till I ran across yesterday.....The Royal Southern Brotherhood performed a tribute to the Rolling Stones' quintessential album, "Exile on Main Street" offering "Exile on Royal Street," a tribute to the Rolling Stones' LP and one of my favorites, so after a long day at Jazz fest, this was a nice treat. And what a beautiful setting, City Park's Botanical Gardens........ royal_southern_brotherhood_botanical_gardens_city_park_jm_050114_001Just ran across another Jazz Fest night shoot that I honestly didn't recall till I ran across yesterday.....The Royal Southern Brotherhood performed a tribute to the Rolling Stones' quintessential album, "Exile on Main Street" offering "Exile on Royal Street," a tribute to the Rolling Stones' LP and one of my favorites, so after a long day at Jazz fest, this was a nice treat. And what a beautiful setting, City Park's Botanical Gardens........I've been lookin forward to this show since talking about it with Rueben Williams last year. The thing I remember most about the show was the FIYA and I mean serious FIYA that a seemingly possessed Cyril Neville brought and poured all over the stage and crowd...the voice...the moves....Cyril had transported himself back to the 70's. Most of the night I just sat back and enjoyed the performance with a big smile on my face, but I did also manage to pop off a few stills......Enjoy!! Jerry ;-) <br/>Stills and a musical slideshow from the shoot can be viewed at http://www.nativeorleanian.org/royal_southern_brotherhood_exile_on_royal_st_botanical_gardens_nola_5_1_2014 All Rights Reserved ©2005-2014 Jerry Moran Native Orleanian LLC I've been lookin forward to this show since talking about it with Rueben Williams last year. And while on the subject of Royal Southern Brotherhood, I got my hands on a pre release copy of "heartsoulblood" Ruf Records and have been listening to it for a couple days.....Do yourself a favor and put this one on your “gotta have” list, release date is June 11th......
