Just an incredible show at The Publiq House last Saturday night, kind of a “bookends of blues”, jarekus_singleton_publiq_house_jm_062814_001Just an incredible show at The Publiq House last Saturday night, kind of a “bookends of blues”, with Little Freddie King represent'n one end and the other end by recently signed Alligator Recording artist Jarekus Singleton from Clinton, MS who was making his area debut this evening. Little Freddie King did his thing, inducing the crowd into a blues trance......then Jarekus followed killin it with all originals emboldened with potent guitar work, quite a treat indeed......My first impressions of Singleton's sound would be kinda like an amped up Robert Cray, with the power of Buddy Guy.....these are just seasonings though.....Jarekus has his own fresh and soulful style pouring it out in buckets all over the stage during his shows........trust me, be sure to catch him if he swings through or near your town. Jarekus Singleton's new Alligator Records release is called “Refuse To Lose”, do yourself a favor and pick up a copy......... Enjoy the pics!!
